Yasser Arafat: 99 44/100% Dead After nearly two weeks of conflicting claims and Arafat's continuing decline, the press is now announcing more conflicting claims. Man this guy is cagey. Shades of "Generallisimo Francisco is Still Dead."

Final Presidential Debate: Who Won? Probably the better question is: Is it really fair to judge candidates on their effectiveness at incessant repetition?

Olympics: Why all the swimming and gymnastics? NBC is showing all the classic Olympic events. Boring. They want to appeal to the 18-34 demographic, yet you have to go to Bravo to see things like equestrian and fencing events. Look folks, hot young chicks jumping horses and sword fighting is what it's all about! Wooooof! (And I'm 40.)

Weapons of Mass Distraction The proposed Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage fails to get enough votes in the Senate to even be allowed to go to a vote. But remember that pushing the vote into the Senate had nothing to do with election year politics. Neither would delaying the vote because of the threat of terrorist attack ....
The CIA was totally wrong ... but we were right to go into Iraq anyway? Somebody should tell them not to take advice from people named "Curveball" and "Pimpo."
